BED IN A BOX

XUONII bed in a box was developed for our society where young people, such as students and young professionals, tend to live in small spaces. Without using tools, the bed can be constructed and collapsed easily to be carried or transported home from the store. Straps serve as both a connector and a slatted frame for the bed. Although it is collapsible it is a strong bed that everyone can appreciate.

XUONII bed in a box only weighs around 8kg and has consolidated or packed size of 120x20x30cm (small double) including the slatted frame which is only about a third of a similar bed from IKEA.

Home furnishings are a big part in our daily living. It gives our room a personality whilst improving our standard of living and affecting not only our surroundings but the planet when disposed, hence our bed in a box is manufactured using recycled and bio-degradable materials in order to reduce the landfill rubbish generated when disposing home furnishings.

Even though it is collapsible, XUONII bed in a box is as stable as a regular bed. Its minimalistic design will blend into any room seamlessly, adding to its aesthetics.

No tools are needed to set up or dismantle the bed. Just the parts from itself are needed to construct the whole bed. It is comprised of four recycled rubber legs, four bio-TPU (hollow) slats, one stabilizing cross, and two straps.

​

The Bio-TPU (hollow) slats are fixated using the four legs. The two recycled aluminium rods build across which stabilises the bed, whilst the weaving of the recycled nylon straps into the side slats builds the resilient slatted frame.
